Public Organization Headline & Description Guidelines
Headline and Description Best Practices
General Instructions:
1) View the example at the bottom of this article.
2) Use 3rd person narrative. "Our", "We", and "Us" are not 3rd person.
3) Since your nonprofit name will be listed directly above the headline and description, there is no need to include it in the headline and description. This space is better used to provide information about your programs and services.
4) Avoid using language related to religion, sexual assault, and nonprofit 501(c)3 status. There is no need to repeat your nonprofit's name, since it is listed directly above the description.

Your headline will contain fewer than 64 characters, including spaces. Use this space to capture the audience's attention with an attention-grabbing, complete sentence that conveys a complete thought, and ends with a period to help earn votes for your organization.
The Description will be a maximum of 234 characters. Use the description to tell someone about your organization who has never heard of your work before. Who do you serve? What are your programs? Tell us about what makes your organization special.
Remember, a cohesive headline and description can be the difference between a glance and a vote in your favor.
